HealthMEDX Announces Vision Solution

New design brings providers closer to the goal of a true Electronic Health Record

OZARK, Mo., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthMEDX announced the release of HealthMEDX Vision, the newest version of their solution for long term care, home health, and rehab organizations. The solution moves organizations closer to the goal of a true Electronic Health Record through the use of push technology that brings the data and tools each user needs within one click.

The new HealthMEDX Vision solution is designed to help move extended care organizations into the shared industry vision of a true Electronic Health Record for all Americans by 2014. Through the combination of an intuitive home screen, chart views that simulates the paper chart, and a trend view for outcome trending, the HealthMEDX Vision solution provides an easy to use tool that decreases training time, increases user adoption and ultimately EHR adoption.

"We are very excited about what the HealthMEDX Vision solution will provide our industry," stated Charlie Daniels, President of HealthMEDX. "We know when it comes to the adoption of a solution in healthcare, the one area that dictates the success of any solution is in the area of Electronic Health Records. With the Vision solution, the transition to electronic records is simple. Users don't have to be applications experts to operate in Vision. The system helps organizations apply their policies and procedures through HealthMEDX Vision's unique use of Common Processes; they simply have to know their area of expertise."

One of the new tools that will be presented to users in the HealthMEDX Vision solution is a unique Trend View of the chart. Within HealthMEDX Vision, users have the ability to review multiple data elements from a patient on one screen to compare measurements quickly for outcome trending. Users can monitor how a patient has reacted to specific medications or monitor data for disease management with the click of a button.

The HealthMEDX Vision solution will continue to be available in both the Software as a Service (SaaS) and client hosted versions that HealthMEDX clients have utilized over the past decade.

2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. Virtualization combined with x86 servers has transformed the way we scale out compute resources. Unfortunately, legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage architectures are rooted in rigid mainframe-era designs, and are fundamentally mismatched with the dynamic, shared modern data center. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, ...
