US Secret Service, Italian Post Form Cyber-Crime Task Force

It will be the first - and long overdue - task force designed to fight cyber crimes outside the United States

The US Secret Service, the Italian Post Office and the postal division of the Italian police are teaming up to fight transnational cyber-crime as the Rome-based European Electronic Crimes Task Force (EECTF).

It will be the first - and long overdue - task force designed to fight cyber crimes outside the United States and will use as its model the Electronic Crimes Task Force the Secret Service created in America.

Poste Italiane, which describes the Task Force as "the first step in a global project that will develop over the coming month according to a well-defined plan," has software and an infrastructure - derived from its banking and insurance interests - that tracks electronic payments, monitoring some 20 million transactions a day.

That software will now be used to monitor computer networks across Europe.

EECTF will act as a forum or clearing house through which European and US law enforcement agencies, the academe and the private sector can collaborate to investigate, suppress and prevent the computer-related crimes that threaten the financial security of businesses and individuals everywhere.

The Secret Service says they will be working on network intrusions, hacking cases, phishing, identity theft and attacks on embassies and other government sites. They will also work on new techniques and methodologies to prevent, detect, fight and investigate cyber-crime.

They mean to support and coordinate a team of experts from all over the world with different specialties related to cyber-security, train others and encourage research.

Besides protecting the president and foreign dignitaries, the Secret Service has historically been chartered to investigate counterfeiting and fraud, a mandate that now include emerging financial crimes.

The precious oil is extracted from the seeds of prickly pear cactus plant. After taking out the seeds from the fruits, they are adequately dried and then cold pressed to obtain the oil. Indeed, the prickly seed oil is quite expensive. Well, that is understandable when you consider the fact that the seeds are really tiny and each seed contain only about 5% of oil in it at most, plus the seeds are usually handpicked from the fruits. This means it will take tons of these seeds to produce just one bottle of the oil for commercial purpose. But from its medical properties to its culinary importance, skin lightening, moisturizing, and protection abilities, down to its extraordinary hair care properties, prickly seed oil has got lots of excellent rewards for anyone who pays the price.
