Sten-Tel Selects Mezeo™ Cloud Storage Platform to Power Total Compliance Solution to Help Law Firms Store Data Securely

Mezeo platform enables law firms to be fully compliant with new data security standards to protect personal information

LAS VEGAS, September 16, 2009 – Mezeo Software, the leading provider of deployable cloud storage solutions, announces that Sten-Tel, a top-ranked legal and healthcare documentation service and technology provider, has selected the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform to deliver its Total Compliance Solution for law firms.  Mezeo’s secure, scalable platform allows attorneys to easily and securely store and share files while providing continuous access to the legal workplace.

The Sten-Tel solution offers a low cost, comprehensive system that assures data security and confidentiality of personal information. This is business-critical for Massachusetts law firms, which are now required to be fully compliant with the security breach notification statute, which includes strict privacy and security standards, by January 1, 2010.  The Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform is completely secure, offering SSL encryption of content as it is being transmitted and 256-bit AES encryption for files “at rest” on the server.

“Mezeo’s security and scalability enable law firms to quickly and cost-effectively ensure the safety of client records using the Sten-Tel Total Compliance Solution,” said Ray Catuogno, CEO of Sten-Tel. “We offer a just-in-time data center, which allows our customers to instantly add or reduce storage capacity based on their needs. Law firms don’t have to invest any capital or operate their own data centers and we match service levels with their needs. That means our customers can focus on their core business and their clients.”

Mezeo’s true anywhere/anytime cloud storage solution provides Sten-Tel users with password-protected access to files via the internet from any computer or via smartphone. It includes an integrated Windows desktop, rich Web 2.0 browsers and iPhone, BlackBerry® and Windows Mobile® native client access.

The Native Windows interface supports a shared drive, allowing secure transfer, sharing and collaboration. This also supports the transfer of larger files, which may be difficult if done via email.

Sten-Tel’s Total Compliance Solution used the Mezeo FastStart Program to accelerate time to market and gain a competitive edge. As a FastStart partner, Sten-Tel was able to access technical resources to get to market quickly and efficiently.

“It is essential - and now in Massachusetts an issue of compliance - for law firms to protect their clients’ confidentiality,” said Mezeo President and CEO Steve Lesem. “Cloud storage is perfect for law firms because it offers secure and controlled access as from anywhere for lawyers on the go – via the internet, smartphone or desktop.  The Sten-Tel service, powered by Mezeo, is a quick and reliable way for law firms to meet the new compliance standards and focus on their core business.  They can be confident that they are operating more efficiently and that their client information is completely protected.”

The Mezeo team is announcing the partnership at the Tier 1 Hosting Transformation Summit North America, which runs September 14 to 16 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mezeo is a Gold Sponsor and will be exhibiting at the event in booth #4.

Cloud Expo Breaking News
Cloud is a shift from the focus on underlying technology implementation to leveraging existing implementations and further building upon them. Cloud orchestration or a network of clouds is the wave of the future where these clouds can operate with elasticity, scalability, and efficiency. Effective service management is an important aspect of managing such networks. The transition to the cloud will enable the further aggregation of composite web services and enhanced business-to-business capabili...
The focus of Java EE 7 is on the cloud, and specifically it aims to bring Platform-as-a-Service providers and application developers together so that portable applications can be deployed on any cloud infrastructure and reap all its benefits in terms of scalability, elasticity, multitenancy, etc. The existing specifications in the platform such as JPA, Servlets, EJB, and others will be updated to meet these requirements. Java EE 7 continues the ease of development push that characterized prior ...

Wide and cheap availability of cloud-based media services is upon us. With the transformations these services are already bringing to the consumption of music, video and interactive media, change has likewise come to professional workflows. Documents in 2012 are read, written, collaborated on, and distributed anywhere an Internet-enabled device can reach – which is to say, everywhere. 2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth.
