ProjectXnet Cloud Hosting Services for Prolog Converge

Solution facilitates single point administration and collaboration with industry leading applications

Windows Azure Session at Cloud Expo

The Cram Group, a Microsoft Gold Certified Meridian Systems Consulting and Development Partner, announces general availability of ProjectXnet Cloud Hosting Services for Prolog Converge. Several ENR top 400 customers have already embraced the new hosted service offering.

Prolog Converge adds a new web interface to the web services platform which The Cram Group has been hosting for customers since 2008.

Prolog Converge permits applications and people to securely connect and share construction project information over the Internet. Designed using the latest in Service Oriented Architectures and XML technology, Prolog Converge allows organizations to integrate enterprise applications, and users to develop and use role-based applications such as Office Business Applications (OBAs) that connect to a centralized Prolog database. Companies with disbursed teams and collaborative partners can benefit from Prolog Converge as an extension to their existing investment in Prolog Manager.

One of the key features of this release includes The Cram Groups Single Sign On (SSO) functionality for Prolog Converge. When combined with other centralized applications using SSO, this results in a rapid, reliable deployment that is supported with a single source of responsibility and security.

"Since 2001 we have been evolving ProjectXnet into the most flexible cloud technology platform for the construction industry. Products like Prolog Converge enable us to showcase our service flexibility and value to our customers. Our background in consulting and technology services led by experienced professionals from the construction industry puts us in a unique position to offer industry leading solutions based on understanding the core needs of the Architecture Engineering & Construction (AEC) Industry," says Gina Rondinelli, Business Development Manager, The Cram Group.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the massive amount of information associated with these devices. Ed presented sought out sessions at CloudEXPO Silicon Valley 2017 and CloudEXPO New York 2017. He is a regular contributor to Cloud Computing Journal.

They say multi-cloud is coming, but organizations are leveraging multiple clouds already. According to a study by 451 Research, only 21% of organizations were using a single cloud. If you've found yourself unprepared for the barrage of cloud services introduced in your organization, you will need to change your approach to engaging with the business and engaging with vendors. Look at technologies that are on the way and work with the internal players involved to have a plan in place when the inevitable happens and the business begins to look at how these things can help affect your bottom line.
