Jim McGovern has been named CEO of IVT, the webcast platform provider, the company announced today. With new executive leadership in place and a recent $5.5 million Series B financing round, IVT is poised for major expansion as more and more businesses are learning to leverage webcasting software and employee generated video for a wide variety of uses both inside and outside the enterprise.

Mr. McGovern was most recently CEO of itzbig, an interactive job board that used advanced semantic matching technology. Previously, he spent six years as CEO of Marketwire, during which time the newswire service grew fourfold, ultimately being sold to an international competitor seeking to enter the U.S. market. Earlier in his career, he held senior executive positions at Business.com and at Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch. Mr. McGovern began his career at IBM, where he held roles in sales and product marketing.
