Cloud Expo Exhibitor Zetta Expands Storage Facilities to East Coast

New data center in New York area to complement existing west coast data centers

Early Bird for Cloud Expo Santa Clara!

Enterprise storage service provider Zetta announced the opening of a new data service facility on the East Coast. The new service facility is located in the greater New York City area. This will be the first East Coast data center for Zetta, which also operates two facilities on the West Coast. Zetta has continued its partnership with Equinix as a collocation provider for this new facility.

To reinforce Zetta's outreach to its East-Coast audience, Chris Schin, the company's VP of products, presented a session on "Cloud Storage Use Cases - What Is Working, What Is Not" at the 5th Cloud Expo, which took place on April 19-21, 2010 in New York City. Zetta also demonstrated Enterprise Storage On-demand solutions at Cloud Expo.

"At least 20 percent of our current customers and a larger percentage of our prospects are on the East Coast, so the new service facility makes a lot of sense for them and us," said Jeff Treuhaft, CEO of Zetta. "It allows us to directly serve a large and expanding northeast U.S. market and provides greater geographic separation for our existing customers' replication plans."

Zetta has just been named one of the 2010 OnDemand Top 100 Private Companies by the AlwaysOn Network. The AlwaysOn editorial team, along with partners at Morgan Stanley, KPMG, Hewlett-Packard, and industry experts across the globe, scoured the entrepreneurial community to identify the top 100 private companies that are taking old notions of data management, customer relationships, and infrastructure and forging solutions that will lead to industry shake-up and huge value creation opportunities.

Zetta Enterprise Storage service delivers Network Attached Storage (NAS) on-demand, satisfying companies' enterprise storage requirements for unstructured data with the features of an on-premise enterprise-class NAS system, along with the flexibility and cost advantages of a service-based, on-demand business model.
