Intalio, the Private Cloud Company, today announced the upcoming release of Intalio|Cloud Summer '10, the first integrated stack for Private Cloud Computing. Intalio|Cloud integrates Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) into a single platform that can be deployed either on demand or on premises.

Intalio|Cloud Summer '10 offers a complete suite of business applications and development tools that closely match the functionality offered by Salesforce.com and Force.com, while providing a compatible object model and Web Services API. This allows enterprises to leverage both public and private clouds deployment models, while offering a unified end-user experience. It also enables service providers to offer hybrid cloud products on par with leading public cloud solutions.

Intalio|SaaS includes Intalio|BPM for Business Process Management, Intalio|CRM for Customer Relationship Management, Intalio|DMS for Document Management, Intalio|Social Portal for Social Collaboration, and Intalio|Web Office for Online Productivity. Intalio|PaaS provides tools for database application development, enterprise mashups, process automation, and reporting. Intalio|IaaS provides infrastructure components allowing enterprises and service providers to develop private clouds similar to Amazon Web Services (AWS), including elastic compute, elastic storage, and elastic database, as well as a Web-based application provisioning tool that can be used by system administrators and business users alike.

"A growing number of organizations are deploying public and private cloud solutions. At the same time, there is a real shortage of the technical skills and knowledge required to build a cloud environment. Intalio addresses that problem - and many others - by offering a broad portfolio of pre-integrated products up and down the entire cloud computing stack, from IaaS to PaaS and SaaS," said Paul Burns, President of Neovise. "Better still, Intalio|Cloud supports a variety of deployment options, from on-premises to public clouds such as Amazon Web Services."

"Clearly, Intalio has recognized the opportunity created by the surge of interest in cloud computing. Having assembled an ambitious stack, much of it based on open source technologies, Intalio is now in the position to provide an option for enterprises and service providers looking for a cloud computing delivery platform," said Vuk Trifkovic, Senior Analyst at Ovum, a Datamonitor Group company.

The multi-tenant version of Intalio|Cloud is currently available for production deployment and is used by customers such as Mitsubishi and Mitsui. The single-tenant version is available under a private beta program for early adopters and will be released to the general public in Q3, 2010.

The proliferation of device connectivity is redefining the functionality requirements and capabilities of many embedded systems as more and more of these devices look to leverage the “Cloud.” While many commercial software and hardware component vendors have begun to realign their value propositions to satisfy growing demand, commercial-off-the-shelf products (COTS) alone cannot meet every OEM’s needs. As a result, the Embedded Cloud has injected a new level of uncertainty and a new competitive ...
