In the above list we are adding a new Plug-in called AWS EC2 Dashboard.

About AWS EC2 Dashboard Plug-in
There are many tools that exist today that allow you to manage the AWS EC2 resources but this plug-in is very handy for the administrator of an AWS account to look at all the available EC2 resources, such as instances, EBS volumes and their snapshots, keypairs, security groups, elastic IPs and their usage from a single dashboard.

If you are looking for an answer to any of the following questions, then you need to download the latest version of CloudBuddy Personal.

  1. Is there a dashboard that allows you to primarily view the activities that are going on in your AWS account from an EC2 perspective?
  2. How many EC2 resources such as Instances, EC2 images, reserved public IPs , EBS and their snapshots exist across the Cloud regions (US - EAST, WEST, Europe...etc) ?
  3. Are they really being used or not? If not, is there a way that I can get to know which is in use? If they are used, is there a way that I can see the relationship among those resources?
  4. How many security groups exist in my AWS account and how many instances are associated with a single security group?
  5. How many public IPs are reserved and are they really been used or not?
  6. Is there a CloudWatch & Auto scaling configured? if yes, is there a way that I can view the relationship of CloudWatch with instances?
  7. Is there a tool that can export all the available EC2 resources in a CSV format?

The AWS EC2 Dashboard plug-in for CloudBuddy Personal has answers for most of the above questions. You might use any management tools such as AWS Management Console, Rightscale, Elasticfox...etc to manage your Cloud, but this plug-in provides an insight into your AWS EC2 from a usage standpoint.

The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next-gen applications and how to address the challenges of building applications that harness all data types and sources.

The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like "How is my application doing" but no idea how to get a proper answer.
