3X Systems & Tushaus Partner to Deliver Private Cloud Computing Appliance

Tushaus incorporates 3X RBA into its DataVault solution to deliver secure and affordable managed data protection and business co

3X Systems, a provider of “private cloud” backup appliances, on Friday announced that Tushaus Computer Services, a Milwaukee-based provider of leading edge technology solutions, is offering managed backup and business continuance solutions that incorporate the 3X RBA (Remote Backup Appliance) into its DataVault offering. Through this solution provider partnership, Tushaus deploys, hosts, and manages 3X RBA systems for small to medium business customers in its cloud hosting centers in Milwaukee and Appleton, Wisconsin. Because each customer’s data is automatically and securely protected to a dedicated appliance in a “private cloud,” there are no concerns about data sharing or unauthorized access. This is especially important for organizations in healthcare, financial services, non-profit, and professional services that need to comply with regulations covering the availability and storage of electronic data.

Tushaus takes a complete backup of a customer’s data to a dedicated 3X RBA and then hosts and manages the appliance offsite in one of its cloud hosting centers. The 3X RBA automatically backs up all of the customer’s Microsoft Windows-based servers, workstations, and laptops over the Internet using its unique Locator Service. All data changes are securely and efficiently transmitted to the 3X RBA at the Tushaus facility thanks to integrated de-duplication, compression, encryption, and block-level backup capabilities. In the event of data loss or file corruption, users can restore data quickly and easily. In the event of a disaster or complete system loss, Tushaus can bring the customer’s 3X RBA onsite to quickly rebuild servers or create a business continuance emergency site, then bring the appliance back to its data center for continued protection.

“Protecting data is critically important for businesses of all sizes,” said Tim Mauck, Director of Product Management for Tushaus. “But too often, it is neglected or not done properly because customers find it too complex or too costly. That is why we are excited to expand our DataVault solution using the 3X RBA. 3X Systems has built a uniquely comprehensive and reliable backup and recovery system at a price point that works even for our smaller customers.”

“Tushaus immediately saw the value proposition of the 3X RBA in delivering data protection that is reliable, affordable, and secure,” said Rocky White, Director of Sales & Marketing for 3X Systems. “Although the partnership is new, we already have several successful installations with Tushaus customers.”

Cloud is the motor for innovation and digital transformation. CIOs will run 25% of total application workloads in the cloud by the end of 2018, based on recent Morgan Stanley report. Having the right enterprise cloud strategy in place, often in a multi cloud environment, also helps companies become a more intelligent business. Companies that master this path have something in common: they create a culture of continuous innovation.
