InsightCloud Selects Webroot For Joint Cloud Venture, Names the Company Cloud Partner of the Year

New platform allows businesses to access essential IT services through one portal saving time and money

Bracknell UK, 17 September 2012: Webroot, a leader in delivering Internet security as a service, has been chosen by Insight Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSIT), as the sole security solution available via the Insight Cloud Platform. Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ Business - Endpoint Protection will be offered to all of InsightCloud's European customer base through the new in-house platform alongside other essential IT services such as Microsoft Office 365 and MozyPro cloud back up. With the most effective cloud-based security solution with a comprehensive feature set, Webroot was the ideal partner for the Insight Cloud offering and recently named Insight's Cloud Partner of the Year for 2012.

"Microsoft Office through one portal, back up through another portal? Our cloud console makes life simpler and allows our clients to provision all their business needs through one simple to use console, freeing up wasted time on administration, so IT professionals can get on with the work that really matters to their organisation," said Mark Green, Insight UK.

"Webroot has been a trusted partner for almost three years and the light, effective, and lightning fast capabilities of Webroot SecureAnywhere combined with its effortless deployment and ease of use made it the natural choice for this new offering. Its behaviour-based detection performed frees our customers from traditional signature based updates, allowing them to focus their time on their business output."

The security landscape has changed and traditional signature-based software can't keep up. A recent study of IT decision-makers found an overwhelming 95 percent experienced an endpoint-based attack last year[12]. Frustrated by traditional security solutions that consistently fail to protect them and require too much time and resources to adequately maintain, many IT managers have resorted to allocating budget for cleaning up the aftermath of attacks.

"Beneficially, next generation security products do come to market that poke at the status quo and present genuine alternatives. Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ Business - Endpoint Protection is one of those products," wrote Michael Suby, Stratecast vice president of Research at Frost & Sullivan, in a recent analysis entitled "Building a Better Mousetrap in Anti-Malware."[1]

Webroot revolutionized endpoint security with the introduction of Webroot SecureAnywhere Business - Endpoint Protection. Webroot's unique cloud-based architecture takes the misery out of security by delivering the fastest, lightest, easiest to manage, and most effective endpoint protection available.[3] IT managers no longer have to waste resources and lose user productivity due to intrusive scans and continuous signature updating, patching, and reimaging. Webroot is first to use the power of the cloud to provide superior protection, unmatched manageability, and unparalleled performance.

Justin Endres, vice president of Worldwide Enterprise Sales at Webroot commented: "We are excited to collaborate with Insight on this new initiative that will transform the way security is delivered to small to mid-sized organisations across Europe. This offering further strengthens our partnership with Insight and extends our own offering to a wider customer base that will be able to benefit from better productivity and cost savings."

Cloud is the motor for innovation and digital transformation. CIOs will run 25% of total application workloads in the cloud by the end of 2018, based on recent Morgan Stanley report. Having the right enterprise cloud strategy in place, often in a multi cloud environment, also helps companies become a more intelligent business. Companies that master this path have something in common: they create a culture of continuous innovation. In his presentation, Dilipkumar Khandelwal outlined the latest research and steps companies can take to make innovation a daily work habit by using enterprise cloud computing. He shared examples from companies that have benefited from enterprise cloud computing and took a look into the future of how the cloud helps companies become a more intelligent business.
