Children International Goes Live With Aptify(R) for its Enterprise Management System

WASHINGTON, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Children International (CI), an international nonprofit humanitarian organization, well-known for its sponsorship program in uniting children and sponsors, has gone live with Aptify on an enterprise-wide basis. Aptify, a leading provider of customer and member relationship management, e-Business, education management and other applications, will enable CI to provide responsive and personalized service for its sponsors, donors, and field offices worldwide.

Established in 1936, Children International has been aiding poor children around the world by helping them and their families break the cycle of extreme poverty. Through their sponsorship activities, CI aids needy children in 11 different countries including Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, the Philippines, the United States and Zambia. Sponsors' contributions help provide poverty-stricken children and families with necessities such as health and dental care, educational assistance, decent clothing, nutritional assistance, and most importantly, hope for a brighter future.

Before selecting and implementing Aptify, CI underwent a diligent software selection process that included evaluating some of the largest vendors in the CRM and ERP market. Their goal was to select a product that would unify its departments under one data source to provide a more streamlined process in responding to sponsors and donors. CI was also apprehensive to find a solution that could address their unique system requirements for one-to-one child sponsorship. Aptify was selected due to its unique ability to meet these objectives and the Aptify technology's flexibility which resolved CI's concerns about finding a solution that could keep up with its ever-changing and demanding needs.

The successful implementation will help CI accomplish several milestones: 1) track marketing campaigns for sponsorships and donations; 2) provide a robust reporting tool set; and 3) employ fundraising management to handle donations and in-kind gifts. Furthermore, Aptify will allow CI to proactively respond to the ever-changing needs of its sponsors, donors and business requirements through the applications' rich functionality, adaptability, and proven record of client support.

"Children International's mission is to help children in impoverished areas around the world," states David Houchen, Executive VP of Children International. "Once we are live with Aptify, we will be able to broaden our fundraising efforts to new types of campaigns targeted at an expanded set of needs." Barry Sanders, Director of IT for CI, adds, "Everyone at Children International is extremely excited about Aptify. It has done exactly what we wanted it to and more. Being able to successfully implement a solution that meets our unique requirements empowers us to think beyond what we can do today. This is the biggest endeavor CI has undertaken and we are energized with the possibilities of what we can achieve through Aptify."

CI will use Aptify's scalable and flexible tool kit to configure the system to their specific requirements. "Aptify's out-of-the-box standard processes supported 70 percent of our unique needs," says Sanders. Additionally, CI has fulfilled the rest of their requirements by using Aptify's flexible configuration tools. "Aptify allows us to efficiently accommodate the remainder of our business needs and to accommodate new products and programs aimed at helping our ever-growing mission of helping needy children in impoverished countries," adds Sanders.

"Children International has a wonderful mission and a dedicated team of people that Aptify has been delighted to work with. Our strong relationship with Children International has advanced the success enjoyed by both organizations," says Aptify CEO Amith Nagarajan. "We are thrilled with what Children International has accomplished and Aptify has once again proven our technology has the ability to incorporate the needs of a dynamic organization like CI," says Nagarajan.

Houchen adds: "Aptify improves our ability to interactively share CI's progress and benefits with our sponsors and donors, both efficiently and effectively. This capability gives us the ability to form long-term relationships with them that will benefit all the children and families that truly need our assistance." Future plans for Children International include incorporation of the Aptify e-Business suite into the children.org website to enhance its online capabilities for its current sponsors and contributors.
