SHENZHEN, Chine, 5 novembre 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Huawei, fournisseur mondial de solutions TIC (technologies de l'information et de communication) de pointe, a annoncé aujourd'hui que son système NAS (Network Attached Storage) en cluster OceanStor N8500 a battu un record de performance lors du test SPECsfs2008 réalisé par le groupe SPEC (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation), en surpassant les points de référence NFS du secteur. C'est la troisième fois qu'Huawei obtient le meilleur résultat d'un essai comparatif réalisé par SPEC, une agence d'évaluation de performances standard. Ce succès vient s'ajouter à ses deux précédents exploits de 2009 et 2011.
OceanStor N8500 est un produit clé de la série OceanStor N8000 de produits NAS évolutifs, destinés aux marchés de haute et moyenne gamme. Ce produit offre la capacité de traitement de fichiers la plus rapide du secteur et remplit de façon excellente les exigences élevées de performance de stockage dans les environnements comportant de grands volumes de données. L'OceanStor N8500 utilise la technologie à nœuds multiples All Active Cluster, avec tous les nœuds de moteur situés dans le même cluster. Cela permet aux nœuds d'effectuer simultanément le traitement des transactions tout en accédant à un fichier unique. De plus, le système OceanStor N8500 prend en charge jusqu'à 256 espaces de noms, chacun d'entre eux étant en mesure de contenir jusqu'à un milliard de fichiers, ce qui représente une capacité de stockage totale d'environ 100 milliards de fichiers. Les résultats de l'essai comparatif SPECsfs2008 suggèrent que s'il opère dans un hôte Linux/UNIX avec protocole NFS activé, le Huawei OceanStor N8500 avec 24 nœuds de moteur peut générer jusqu'à 3 064 602 d'OPS, doublant ainsi la performance du précédent détenteur du record.
