eDiscovery company institutes a data recovery and restoration plan for victims of Hurricane Sandy

ATLANTA, Nov. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- eMag Solutions, LLC, an international provider of electronic discovery services and data management solutions, announces plan of action for those affected by hurricane Sandy. Much like their plan for hurricane Floyd, they have instituted a hotline to deal specifically with those affected by this natural disaster. The hotline number is 404.995.1664 and it will connect those in need of eMag Solutions' services directly to a customer service representative.

If you were affected by Hurricane Sandy, and have tapes that have been submerged in salt water, do not allow them to dry out. Doing so will cause the salt to interact with the tapes chemical binder system and will begin breaking it down, thereby making recovery very difficult if not impossible. It is best to keep them submerged in as clean of water as possible until such time they can be shipped to eMag Solutions. They will use their environmental chambers to dry the tapes in a controlled manner, which will then allow a greatly improved chance of recovery.

Rapid Results. eMag Solutions expertise, particularly in cases of natural disasters, allows them to quickly recover data leading to faster, more accurate results at lower cost. eMag engineers have extensive knowledge spanning 25 years on all media types, with a phenomenal recovery success rate at just over 97%. Being sensitive to the situation, eMag Solutions' CEO Chris Clark explained "We're bringing the best eMag has to offer to assist companies recover critical data from systems impacted by the storm.  Our experience dealing with this type of damage to critical systems will be fully exercised in the coming weeks as IT and legal departments fully recover their data."
