Layer 7’s Mike Amundsen to Speak at Defrag 2012

Defrag 2012 Layer 7 Technologies, a leading provider of API connectivity solutions for the enterprise, today announced that Principal API Architect Mike Amundsen will lead a session at Defrag 2012. The conference is focused exclusively on Internet-based tools developers can use to transform loads of information into layers of knowledge.

Amundsen will discuss the power and challenges of creating evolvable systems that allow both humans and machines to communicate, during his session “Such a Rich Set of Affordances: A Hypermedia Tale.” Drawing from a varied set of influences, Amundsen will explain how to create usable, stable, and evolvable APIs that meet the needs of large enterprises as well as start-ups when building solutions for an emerging “hyper-connected” world. His session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14 from 3:30 – 3:55 p.m. PT.

Layer 7, who is also a silver sponsor at the event, will be exhibiting in booth #B2. The Layer 7 team will be providing interested parties with demonstrations and discussions on the company’s new cloud-based API management service APIfy.co, which provides all the tools necessary for organizations to open their APIs to outside developers, without the need of IT.

About Mike Amundsen

As API Architect at Layer 7, Mike Amundsen heads up the company’s API Architecture & Design Practice in North America. He is responsible for working with companies across North America to provide insight into how best to capitalize on the myriad opportunities APIs present to both consumers and the enterprise.
