Supermicro présente également ses dernières plates-formes FatTwin qui proposent la densité de stockage la plus élevée du secteur avec 8 disques durs de 3,5" dans 1U et 12 cartes graphiques/MIC double largeur à calcul parallèle élevé dans 4U. La plate-forme FatTwin utilise une architecture économe en énergie à ressources partagées dotée de ventilateurs haute efficacité de 8 cm, un débit d'air optimisé et des alimentations Platinum Level (94 % et plus), qui s'associent pour offrir 16 % d'efficacité en plus comparé à la concurrence. L'entreprise a considérablement innové à différents niveaux pour ses plates-formes, des conceptions de refroidissement à l'air libre capables de fonctionner jusqu'à 47 degrés Celsius de température ambiante, au déploiement étendu de modules BBP (Battery Backup Power) capables de remplacer les systèmes UPS traditionnels avec un rendement énergétique pouvant atteindre 99 % pour les applications haute disponibilité.
