Mr. Catalano brings more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and financial services industries, managing and scaling global business process outsourcing (BPO) and account management operations. He will join CareCloud as a member of its executive leadership team, responsible for managing the Company’s back-office revenue cycle management, customer service and support organizations. Mr. Catalano comes to CareCloud from athenahealth, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATHN), a provider of web-based technologies and services to physicians. Since joining athenahealth in 2004, he held a number of operational and strategic account management positions, most recently as Vice President of Client Development. In this capacity, he led a team of account managers responsible for client satisfaction, retention and profitability for over 50 large and enterprise level clients representing approximately $45 million in annual revenue. His teams also tracked company performance against key operational metrics as well as engaging clients at a strategic level to align athenahealth’s products and services. During his tenure at athenahealth, Mr. Catalano also held the titles of Vice President of Client Operations, were he was responsible for scaling athenahealth’s Client Service Center and establishing athenahealth’s tiered call center support structure, client performance analysis team, and athenaClinicals support team. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Catalano also served as athenahealth’s Vice President of Operations reporting to either the CEO or COO. In this role he scaled operations as athenahealth grew from $29 million in revenue in 2004 to $139 million in 2008.

“During the past year, CareCloud has expanded its leadership team to include some of the healthcare industry’s most talented and experienced executives. Ralph is without question one of the industry’s foremost experts in building and scaling back-office and technology-enabled business process operations. His contribution will help us support our rapidly-growing revenue cycle management service,” said Mr. Santalo. “As our national client base grows so does the demand to deliver the industry’s best services, software, and client results. We still have a lot of technology-enabled process innovation to do and Ralph will be instrumental in leading our relentless efforts to continually improve our service offering and delivering the best client success metrics in healthcare IT.”

“I have had the pleasure of working for innovative companies during times of transition in their respective industries. In my opinion, CareCloud represents a new chapter in innovation and disruption in the relatively stagnant healthcare technology sector and I am thrilled to join an impressive leadership team and vibrant and rapidly growing company,” said Mr. Catalano. “CareCloud understands the evolving needs of the physician market and how imperative it is to offer a modern user interface and flexibility to choose the various services and applications that meet their immediate needs, ultimately lowering barriers and enabling more doctors to leverage cloud-computing in their daily operations. With this flexibility comes the need for world-class operational scale and account management capabilities that I am excited to begin helping to bolster.”

Prior to athenahealth, Mr. Catalano held various operational and product management leadership positions for Bank of Boston, Fleet Financial, and Bank of America. He graduated Magna cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration from Boston University and has an MBA with Concentrations in Finance & Computer Science from Boston College.
