OSP® Magazine Announces Featured Keynote for OSP EXPO® 2013

OSP® magazine, the leader in telecom network education, today announced Diane McCarthy, senior vice president of Verizon’s Network and Technology – Service Delivery & Assurance organization as the featured keynote speaker at next year’s OSP EXPO taking place October 8 –10, 2013 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

“Diane leads a team of 13,000 employees supporting 159 countries, responsible for end-to-end installation, delivery and repair of voice and data services for Verizon’s wholesale and enterprise customers. She truly lives and breathes the OSP and is a perfect keynote presenter for OSP EXPO 2013,” said Sharon Vollman, VP/Editorial Director OSP Magazine while on stage at the closing of the OSP EXPO 2012 International Summit in Denver, Co. “With her rich background, the OSP EXPO 2013 featured keynote is sure to address how OSP professionals can succeed in this ever-changing market segment of ours.”

McCarthy is also responsible for network and data center builds as well as central office facilities for Verizon’s wireline network. And since the OSP is the brick and mortar foundation of data centers and Cloud activity, Diane is an executive who can lend tremendous insight into its evolution for the future.

Prior to 2008, McCarthy led wholesale and enterprise operations as senior vice president of Customer Experience, having held multiple regional vice president positions in that business group since 2006. In that role, McCarthy was responsible for overseeing all ordering, provisioning and repair of data and voice services in those market segments. After beginning her telecommunications career at AT&T in 1982, McCarthy has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility.

McCarthy was appointed 2009 Corporate Woman of the Year by Garden State Woman magazine in recognition of her leadership and commitment to community service. She recently was appointed 2013 chairman of the Common Ground Alliance (CGA) board of directors and currently serves on the CGA board representing telecommunications stakeholders. She also serves on the board of directors of the Manhattan Theatre Club. Additionally, McCarthy is a member of the advisory board for the Rutgers Institute for Women's Leadership.

With the OSP EXPO 2013 exhibit floor already selling very quickly, and 7 out of 10 attendees armed with purchasing authority or influence, OSP EXPO 2013 will be the must-attend telecom tradeshow for everything network related.
