NextiraOne Celebrates Ten Years of Success

Decade of development creates a leading European multi-vendor - communications systems integrator with focus on services & innovation

Paris, 27 November, 2012 - NextiraOne, Europe's leading expert in communications services, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this month. The company has seen a decade of growth in a rapidly developing communications and IT landscape, embracing new technologies and driving innovation forward for its customers. In that time NextiraOne has carved out a significant role in the market, particularly in unified communications, mobility, video, contact centre, data networks and data centre, and it has used its expertise as a platform for the creation of future-proof solutions.

"The world has changed enormously since we began our journey," says David Winn, CEO of NextiraOne. "Our decade of growth and achievement has been an exciting period for us and for our customers and partners. We have seen enormous changes, as the emergence of cloud and mobility technologies, BYOD and many other trends in the last few years have shown, and we have anticipated and adapted to each new development in the market, delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions. In an increasingly complex communications world, our strength is in bringing back simplicity. We do this by managing the complexity on behalf of our clients, integrating multiple technologies and devices so that they work seamlessly."

Established in 2002 as a stand-alone business, NextiraOne has rapidly grown into a leading multi-vendor service provider with a strong Managed Services focus and a world class Network Operating Centre in Paris and Berlin. The company now has sales and service organisations in 15 European countries and last year launched in the Americas. As an independent integrator, NextiraOne develops solutions that often include products from multiple vendors. The company maintains closes partnerships with all the key technology vendors in the communications and IT space, including Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Genesys, and Microsoft and has many further agreements that have helped to create powerful and innovative ecosystems around key solutions.

The company has built itself into a key partner for many of the world's biggest brands in the private sector and as a major supplier of ICT for public sector organisations across Europe. With more than 60,000 direct customers, NextiraOne counts over 70% of the top 100 European companies as customers (Fortune Global 500). Customers include: Ricoh Europe, T-Mobile, Chelsea Football Club, Red Bull Technology, Nottingham University Hospital, North Bristol Hospital and SAMU44 (Hospital) in France, Hamburg Wasser, Strasburg University, Codemasters, Clarins, Carglass, Welsh Water, FGV transportation systems in Spain and local Government organisations in Lower Austria, Middlesborough and Stockton on Tees in the UK.

"Ultimately our goal has always been to deliver best-in-class, integrated solutions that take our customers to the next level in their own growth and development," says David Winn. "There is no point in standing still - however great our proposition - in a market that is constantly looking for the next innovation. It has always been part of our exciting journey to stay ahead of our customers' expectations and in line with new technologies. We have a great platform of expertise, experience and success on which to build for the challenges and opportunities of the future."

NextiraOne's historic journey has taken the company from vendor to systems integrator and communications services company with over 3000 multi-vendor certifications. The company is present in 16 countries in Europe and the Americas and has over 160 partner alliances to support global services for international customers. "We build IoT infrastructure products - when you have to integrate different devices, different systems and cloud you have to build an application to do that but we eliminate the need to build an application. Our products can integrate any device, any system, any cloud regardless of protocol," explained Peter Jung, Chief Product Officer at Pulzze Systems, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
"We are an all-flash array storage provider but our focus has been on VM-aware storage specifically for virtualized applications," stated Dhiraj Sehgal of Tintri in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 19th Cloud Expo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
Internet of @ThingsExpo has announced today that Chris Matthieu has been named tech chair of Internet of @ThingsExpo 2017 New York The 7th Internet of @ThingsExpo will take place on June 6-8, 2017, at the Javits Center in New York City, New York. In addition to all the benefits, IoT is also bringing new kind of customer experience challenges - cars that unlock themselves, thermostats turning houses into saunas and baby video monitors broadcasting over the internet. This list can only increase because while IoT services should be intuitive and simple to use, the delivery ecosystem is a myriad of potential problems as IoT explodes complexity. So finding a performance issue is like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.
Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Unfortunately, traditional approaches to handling, storing and analyzing data aren’t adequate at this scale: they’re too costly, slow and physically cumbersome to keep up. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...
Data is the fuel that drives the machine learning algorithmic engines and ultimately provides the business value. In his session at 20th Cloud Expo, Ed Featherston, director/senior enterprise architect at Collaborative Consulting, will discuss the key considerations around quality, volume, timeliness, and pedigree that must be dealt with in order to properly fuel that engine.
When it comes to cloud computing, the ability to turn massive amounts of compute cores on and off on demand sounds attractive to IT staff, who need to manage peaks and valleys in user activity. With cloud bursting, the majority of the data can stay on premises while tapping into compute from public cloud providers, reducing risk and minimizing need to move large files. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Scott Jeschonek, Director of Product Management at Avere Systems, discussed the IT and busin...
According to Forrester Research, every business will become either a digital predator or digital prey by 2020. To avoid demise, organizations must rapidly create new sources of value in their end-to-end customer experiences. True digital predators also must break down information and process silos and extend digital transformation initiatives to empower employees with the digital resources needed to win, serve, and retain customers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...

What happens when the different parts of a vehicle become smarter than the vehicle itself? As we move toward the era of smart everything, hundreds of entities in a vehicle that communicate with each other, the vehicle and external systems create a need for identity orchestration so that all entities work as a conglomerate. Much like an orchestra without a conductor, without the ability to secure, control, and connect the link between a vehicle’s head unit, devices, and systems and to manage the ...
"Once customers get a year into their IoT deployments, they start to realize that they may have been shortsighted in the ways they built out their deployment and the key thing I see a lot of people looking at is - how can I take equipment data, pull it back in an IoT solution and show it in a dashboard," stated Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
"We are the public cloud providers. We are currently providing 50% of the resources they need for doing e-commerce business in China and we are hosting about 60% of mobile gaming in China," explained Yi Zheng, CPO and VP of Engineering at CDS Global Cloud, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 19th Cloud Expo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
"We analyze the video streaming experience. We are gathering the user behavior in real time from the user devices and we analyze how users experience the video streaming," explained Eric Kim, Founder and CEO at Streamlyzer, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 19th Cloud Expo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
We are always online. We access our data, our finances, work, and various services on the Internet. But we live in a congested world of information in which the roads were built two decades ago. The quest for better, faster Internet routing has been around for a decade, but nobody solved this problem. We’ve seen band-aid approaches like CDNs that attack a niche's slice of static content part of the Internet, but that’s it. It does not address the dynamic services-based Internet of today. It does...

In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.
The pace of innovation, vendor lock-in, production sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and managing risk… In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Dan Choquette, Founder of RackN, discussed how CIOs are challenged finding the balance of finding the right tools, technology and operational model that serves the business the best. He also discussed how clouds, open source software and infrastructure solutions have benefits but also drawbacks and how workload and operational portability between vendors an...
