Orasi Software to Offer New Performance Monitoring Solution From HP on Amazon Web Services

ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/28/12 -- Orasi Software, a leading services provider, today announced it has been selected to sell HP's industry-leading performance monitoring solution, HP SiteScope, using a cloud-based model. The offering will be hosted via Amazon Web Services and be available for licensing in hourly increments through the AWS Marketplace.

HP SiteScope software helps businesses monitor the availability and performance of distributed IT infrastructure and applications including servers, operating systems, network services, virtualization software applications, and application components. HP SiteScope continually monitors more than 100 types of IT components through this highly customizable architecture. With HP SiteScope, businesses gain the real-time information they need to stay apprised of problems, and solve bottlenecks before they become critical.

"We're excited to now be able to offer HP SiteScope in the cloud," said Nick Kavadellas, president and CEO, Orasi. "Our decision to add this offering comes in response to the increasing demand we're seeing from developers of all sizes for the ability to purchase testing and monitoring services in increments that more closely match the scope of their project."

Support for HP SiteScope software will be provided through Orasi's premier software support organization, which has won HP Software Support Partner of the year in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Users of the Orasi AWS Marketplace solution can submit support tickets at http://supportweb.orasi.com or use the free forums at http://eyeontesting.com.

About Amazon Web Services
Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing. The ultimate benefit of cloud computing, and AWS, is the ability to leverage a new business model and turn capital infrastructure expenses into variable costs. Businesses no longer need to plan and procure servers and other IT resources weeks or months in advance. Using AWS, businesses can take advantage of Amazon's expertise and economies of scale to access resources when their business needs them, delivering results faster and at a lower cost. Today, Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of enterprise, government and startup customers' businesses in 190 countries around the world. AWS offers over 30 different services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS). AWS services are available to customers from data center locations in the U.S., Brazil, Europe, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

You're getting pitched every day from your legacy enterprise software and hardware vendors about "cloud." They're doing an amazing job of convincing your CIO and CTO about what cloud is and how you should use it. The reality is they're defending their shrinking market share and keeping you on the legacy treadmill for as long as they can by selling you solutions that aren't "cloud." In her session at the 12th International Cloud Expo, Niki Acosta, Cloud Evangelista for Rackspace, will talk thro...
The rise of cloud computing has exposed hard drive-based storage as the new data center bottleneck. Combating this, data center managers have deployed SSDs to gain the performance needed to provide real-time access to data. However, due to budget constraints, many have turned to consumer-grade SSDs without understanding that they wear out quickly when processing enterprise workloads. In this session, Esther Spanjer will discuss recent endurance advancements in SSD technology that enable usage of...
