The First Data Visualization App to Cut Through Social Noise Launches Today

dasBoom Launches to Help Users Intelligently Visualize the Overwhelming Amount of Noise in Their Social Feeds and Intuitively Sift Through to the Most Important People and Updates

SAINT CLOUD, MN -- (Marketwire) -- 12/05/12 -- Designed for even the casual user, dasBoom is the breakthrough data visualization application that helps users make sense of the overwhelming amount of noise in their social feeds. Leveraging intuitive and user-friendly tools, users can filter their friends and updates to reveal only what's really important.

With today's release of dasBoom, the team began the journey to provide the most relevant lens for social networking. "With the enormous volume of information being generated on social networks, there's a critical need to make sense of all this connected knowledge, which users should be able to leverage to make more intelligent decisions," said Shivani Khanna, founder of dasBoom.

The dasBoom application solves this issue by not only allowing users to visualize information from their social feeds in the most meaningful way possible, but also providing intuitive tools to help them organize and filter their feeds.

Unlike other social content applications on the market, dasBoom is the first to combine data visualization with content filtering. For instance, the first section of the app displays bubbles of all friends who have posted in the last few hours. Deciding which friends they care about becomes very easy in that view. Additionally, the size of the bubbles represents popularity of posts. With this simple, at-a-glance view, users can tell who is posting and whose posts are getting the most "buzz," so they can then group people in a way that makes the most sense to them. Users can do all of this without having to scroll through their entire feed to glean the same information. Users can also hide annoying content from their feed such as app requests, shared articles, memes and more by simple drag-n-drop functionality.

"dasBoom is unique from other applications curating social content, because it's not building assumptions to determine what is important to the user," continued Khanna. "Instead, dasBoom lets users decide what is important to them."

With today's launch, dasBoom includes Facebook only, but will soon provide intelligence for users' Twitter and LinkedIn feeds as well.
