U.S. Army Materiel Command Expands Its Enterprise Implementation of the AtHoc Emergency Mass Notification System

Hosted in DISA Data Center, the AMC System Marks the First Enterprise Army Implementation Supporting Multiple Installations From a Centralized Location

(www.athoc.com), the pioneer and leader in network-centric emergency mass notification systems (EMNS), today announced that the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) has expanded its enterprise implementation of AtHoc IWSAlerts™ to support multiple additional installations and groups from the same Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) data center. The AMC system becomes the first Army implementation to deploy enterprise EMNS utilizing a centralized secure private cloud architecture to easily add remote locations and organizations, including: HQ Army Contracting Command, HQ Army Security Assistance Command, Pine Bluff Arsenal, Corpus Christi Army Depot, Blue Grass Army Depot, Camp Stanley Storage Activity, with the capability to add others in the future.

The AMC deployment via a highly cost efficient centralized architecture assures enterprise wide consistency and reduces ongoing sustainment costs. Such deployments deliver significant benefits:

The new enterprise expansion provides the additional AMC installations a rapid, predictable, and unified platform for notifying and alerting personnel across a wide variety of technologies and end-user devices, including desktop alerts, e-mail, telephony (landline and mobile) and SMS/text messaging. This enables the organization's emergency directors to send alerts to the entire user population with full enterprise visibility, while providing each remote site its own "private" alerting system.
