iSnap Closes $400k Angel Funding Round

iSnap, the creator of the Social Photo Station and accompanying suite of social media marketing tools, announces today that the company has closed a $400k angel funding round, led by prominent angel investors Jim Schraith, Safi Qureshey and Tim Brinkman. iSnap’s core products, the social photo station and accompanying cloud software suite, allow users to snap photos at events or venues and upload them instantly to social networks. The cloud-based analytics modules then allow marketers to track, analyze and utilize the data shared with the machines.

This announcement comes on the heels of iSnap’s recent milestones, in which the company surpassed 150 units sold and achieved over 120 million online impressions. Jim Schraith, iSnap’s lead investor, explains, “iSnap's product fulfills marketplace demand and provides a turnkey solution for marketers. This combined with its proven ability to generate revenue makes the company well positioned to experience outstanding long term growth."

iSnap installed its first photo station in December 2010. By February 2011, users had already uploaded 10,000 photos, resulting in over one million online impressions. Today over 600,000 photos have been uploaded. iSnap social photo stations can be found in countries all over the world and have been purchased by numerous well recognized brands including CBS, LiveNation, Hyatt Resorts and MGM Resorts. According to CEO and Co-Founder Alex Lowe, “The high rate of growth iSnap is experiencing has a lot to do with the product’s traction in the marketplace. Marketers realize that visual content is impactful and valuable to their social media campaigns, and iSnap provides a turnkey solution that is highly effective at fulfilling that need.”
