Scality reçoit la certification Dell Technology Partner

Scality rejoint le programme Dell Technology Partner grâce à sa solution de Stockage Objet Haute performance.

Zone EMEA Paris - 9 Jan 2013 - Scality, leader du stockage objet pour les applications web, a aujourd'hui reçu la certification partenaire pour le programme Dell Technology Partner. Grâce à la certification de Scality RING sur Dell PowerEdge R620, Scality offre désormais une solution intégrée, déjà déployée en production chez plusieurs clients, qui stocke de manière évolutive et performante les données non-structurées.

Le système de stockage organique RING de Scality offre une solution de stockage objet entièrement logicielle à la fois pour les applications primaires et le stockage à long-terme. Elle fonctionne sur des serveurs x86 standards, permettant de choisir le matériel optimal pour tout type de déploiement, ce qui laisse au client le choix du distributeur de matériel informatique, en fonction des relations de confiance déjà établies, des besoins de l'application et de ses utilisateurs.

- Le stockage primaire d'emails pour les 8 millions d'utilisateurs de Libero, le plus gros service Email en Italie.
- Un service de Stockage Cloud supportant 2 millions de clients chez Host Europe en Allemagne.

La flexibilité et le large éventail de connecteurs d'applications de Scality RING en font un choix parfait pour de nombreux cas de système de stockage très haute capacité - y compris StaaS, Emails, Médias et Web 2.0.

Chacun de ces trois cas utilise un connecteur différent, suivant les besoins du client : Host Europe utilise un connecteur compatible Amazon S3 qui permet une facturation flexible, et Libero utilise le nouveau Système de Fichiers Scale-Out avec la technologie de protection des données ARC (à base d'Erasure Coding).
