DLT Solutions Now Offers Amazon Web Services to Multiple Contract Vehicles Including GSA IT Schedule 70

DLT Solutions, a leading value-added reseller in government information technology (IT) software and services, announced that it has added Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading provider of IT infrastructure and web services, to its GSA IT Schedule 70 (GS-35F-4543G), NIH ECS III, NCPA, and other agency-specific contracts. Through these contracts, federal, state, local and tribal government entities now have fast and cost effective means to procure secure and reliable cloud-ready AWS solutions, thus enabling them to instantly spin-up hundreds or thousands of servers and storage in minutes, reducing delivery time to constituents.

DLT Solutions’ contracts now include AWS offerings across multiple AWS Regions including the AWS GovCloud Region. These regions incorporate many of the same security controls, but AWS GovCloud brings added value to government customers who need an additional level of regulatory compliance. The AWS GovCloud Region framework adheres to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements, providing a cloud option to customers who have the specific requirement that their systems and data be only accessed by U.S. persons. DLT Solutions’ status as an APN Advanced Consulting Partner for AWS provides its government customers with the confidence and guidance to ensure the best solution to fit their needs and requirements.

“AWS provides government agencies a secure, reliable, and cost-effective computing platform in the cloud. By using AWS services, government organizations can focus on meeting their mission-critical objectives, and spend less time procuring, developing, or managing IT resources,” explained Teresa Carlson, vice president of worldwide public sector for Amazon Web Services. “AWS is excited to expand our relationship with DLT who combines industry expertise and knowledge with a customer-focused approach.”

“Many of our customers are intrigued by the benefits that cloud computing may bring. Infrastructure- and Platform-as-a-Service offerings bring a wealth of new capabilities, flexibility and opportunity to the public sector,” explained David Blankenhorn, chief cloud technologist and leader of the DLT Cloud Advisory Group. “We are excited about our relationship with Amazon Web Services and the power and flexibility cloud computing can bring to our public sector customers. With the addition of AWS to DLT’s multiple contract vehicles, we can provide this new technology platform through several well-known and trusted procurement vehicles such as GSA Schedule, NIH Electronic Commodity Store III, and the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance contracts. DLT is committed to ensuring a fast, competitive, and flexible means to acquire cloud computing.”

In late 2012, DLT Solutions announced that the General Services Administration (GSA) exercised its option to extend DLT Solutions’ GSA IT Schedule 70 (GS-35F-4543G) contract through March 31, 2017.

Dedicated to providing customers with knowledge and advice on cloud computing technology, the DLT Cloud Advisory Group (CAG) helps customers navigate current mandates, available solutions and the best options for your environment.
