Launch of Telogis for Oil & Gas Delivers New Industry-Specific Capabilities Within Its Award-Winning Location Intelligence Platform

Telogis Meets the Demand for Increased Driver Safety and Fuel Efficiency

ALISO VIEJO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/06/13 -- Telogis introduces Telogis for Oil & Gas, a comprehensive cloud-based enterprise software suite targeting oil and gas companies. Telogis has assembled features that have been tested and proven to improve driver safety and fuel efficiency, while addressing specific reporting requirements for powered and non-powered assets. Telogis for Oil & Gas is an extension of Telogis' software platform for companies that require mobile applications, real-time work order management, dynamic routing, navigation and telematics for their mobile workforces.

Telogis for Oil & Gas monitors a vehicle's systems and sends instant in-cab alerts for unbuckled seat belts and aggressive driving, including hard-braking, fast acceleration and speeding. All alerts are assembled into driver safety scorecards and enterprise dashboards, so that progress is easy to measure. Alerts can also be sent to managers via email or SMS for behaviors requiring immediate coaching.

In addition to driver behavior and location-based information, Telogis for Oil & Gas delivers mobile workforce applications, monitors vehicle idle time, automated off-road mileage, utilization, power take-off (PTO) use, total miles driven and fuel usage. The new industry-focused solution provides oil and gas companies with the ability to develop and import their existing map layers and track high-value mobile assets to help prevent loss while maximizing utilization. These features allow greater visibility into the day-to-day operations of a company's mobile workforce, with the ultimate goal of reducing costs and improving efficiencies.

"With the level of expertise earned thorough years of work with the oil and gas industry, we felt that it was important for Telogis to focus our efforts on addressing the very specific needs of these companies," said Jason Koch, president, Telogis Fleet. "Drivers put their lives on the line every day. Now Telogis is giving oil and gas companies mission-critical tools to improve safety and set their own standards for driver excellence."

Everyone wants the rainbow - reduced IT costs, scalability, continuity, flexibility, manageability, and innovation. But in order to get to that collaboration rainbow, you need the cloud! In this presentation, we'll cover three areas: First - the rainbow of benefits from cloud collaboration. There are many different reasons why more and more companies and institutions are moving to the cloud. Benefits include: cost savings (reducing on-prem infrastructure, reducing data center foot print, reducing IT support costs), enabling growth (ensuring a highly available, highly scalable infrastructure), increasing employee access & engagement (by having collaboration tools that are usable and available globally regardless of location there will be an increased connectedness amongst teams and individuals that will help increase both efficiency and productivity.)
