Unwired Planet Completes Patent Transaction; To Hold Investor Day

Unwired Planet, Inc. (NASDAQ: UPIP) ("Unwired Planet" or the "Company"), the inventor of the mobile Internet, today announced that the Company will hold an analyst day from noon to 2:30 pm Eastern Time on March 12 at the Ritz Carlton in New York. This invitation-only event is for financial analysts and institutional investors. For other interested parties, the Unwired Planet Financial Analyst Day will be available as a live webcast.

Following the completion of its patent purchase from Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), Unwired Planet’s patent portfolio now includes over 2,400 patent assets focused exclusively on mobile technologies. This broad “pure mobile” intellectual property portfolio reflects decades and billions invested in research and development. With the construction of this unrivalled patent portfolio complete, Unwired Planet will now execute a global strategy as a long-term industry platform for the realization of intellectual property value across 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, as well as cloud-based mobile applications and services.
