Catholic Health Partners Selects PeopleAnswers to Improve Hiring Decisions and Patient Care

PeopleAnswers and Catholic Health Partners, which operates more than 100 facilities in Ohio and Kentucky, today announced the health system has signed a three-year software license agreement to use PeopleAnswers’ talent assessment software to help identify and hire its nurses and administrative staff system wide.

“As one of the largest non-profit health systems in the country, we’ve made a commitment to improve the health of our communities – especially for individuals who are poor and under-served,” said Joe Gage, senior vice president, Human Resources, Catholic Health Partners. “PeopleAnswers will help us improve and streamline our hiring process and identify employees who share our passion and commitment to deliver high quality, cost effective, compassionate care and patient experience.”

Catholic Health Partners will initially use PeopleAnswers’ employee assessment software to identify, select and hire nurses in select facilities as a part of its registered nurse workforce initiative and to help staff a new facility before expanding to include all nursing and administrative roles system wide. To help select the best candidate matches, PeopleAnswers will identify the Behavioral DNA® of existing employees in these roles. Next, PeopleAnswers will use its patented approach of creating custom behaviorally based Performance Profiles aligned with medical outcomes. Other hospital systems have seen significant improvements in employee productivity and retention as well as patient care.

Hiring managers will use PeopleAnswers as a guide for interview content, onboarding, employee development and succession planning. PeopleAnswers will integrate with the applicant tracking system Catholic Health Partners currently uses to create a seamless recruitment process.

“As healthcare across the nation prepares for regulatory changes and reform, hospitals still need to stay laser focused on delivering quality healthcare,” said Gabriel Goncalves, CEO and president, PeopleAnswers. “PeopleAnswers has the unique ability to help identify, retain and develop first-rate and diverse talent for each role – for example, determining whether a nurse is a better fit in the emergency department or the neo-natal unit. Staffing a great team of nurses is a critical aspect of Catholic Health Partners’ mission and strategic focus.”
