ALVEA Infrastructure Services Selects Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator

Flexiant enables ALVEA Services to rapidly deploy, brandable cloud-based computing solutions to the channel

London, UK - 22 May 2013 - Flexiant, a leading international provider of cloud management software, today announced that ALVEA Services has selected Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator for its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution, ALVEA Infrastructure. Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator enables ALVEA Infrastructure to deliver a simple, branded user interface for instant provisioning of IT security and cloud services with a pay-as-you-go model.

ALVEA Services is a managed security and cloud-based computing solutions provider that has designed ALVEA Infrastructure for organizations that need to vary their computing capabilities at a moment's notice to match the changing needs of their business. The service is delivered and supported by an established global network of some 2,500 IT and security resellers. As a cloud service provider, ALVEA Services is able to provide its channel partners with an IaaS service they are able to white label themselves or offer branded as part of the ALVEA Services portfolio.

Neil Gardner, Proposition Manager, ALVEA Services said, "Choosing the right cloud management software was business critical and of significant strategic importance for ALVEA Services. We invested substantial time, energy and effort in looking at the various players in the market. No other company was able to demonstrate the proven heritage and capability that is essential for ALVEA Services. Furthermore, no other company had Flexiant's extensive "out of the box" capability to build out our reseller offering, which is clearly central to our go-to-market strategy."

Flexiant's cloud management and orchestration software is providing ALVEA Services with on-demand, fully automated provisioning of cloud services. This includes Flexiant's user interface, comprehensive billing, extensive white labeling and single pane of glass infrastructure control.

George Knox, CEO, Flexiant said, "With Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator, ALVEA Services has the opportunity to capitalize on the current market, but also to future proof its commercial offering. Its customers want transparency, and with Flexiant, they have it. This makes ALVEA Services more attractive to resellers."

The ALVEA Services business model is based on allowing resellers to set their own pricing structure while only paying for what they are delivering to customers. The Flexiant billing and metering capability allows granular reporting on what has been used and when. Depending on the requirements of the VAR, each billing model can be independently set to meet specific needs. Gardner continued, "With Flexiant, VARs can easily buy and sell the IT security and cloud services they need to deliver their customers, while also wrapping additional value into the offering."

Central to ALVEA Services is the ability for resellers to apply their own look and feel to the products they deliver to customers. Flexiant enables the user interface to be white labeled for any VARs requiring this capability.

Gardner said, "By selecting Flexiant to provide us with the cloud provisioning software for ALVEA Infrastructure everyone in our network can make more money. Resellers are able to be more commercially attractive, offer new products and services while we are using a public cloud to stay competitive in the market."

ALVEA Services will continue to build additional product offers for its channel partners as well as enabling these resellers to add their own product offering to the network. "With Flexiant, we're able to look at new business opportunities, presenting further revenue generating activity for our partners' businesses as well as our own," concluded Gardner.

Public clouds dominate IT conversations but the next phase of cloud evolutions are "multi" hybrid cloud environments. The winners in the cloud services industry will be those organizations that understand how to leverage these technologies as complete service solutions for specific customer verticals. In turn, both business and IT actors throughout the enterprise will need to increase their engagement with multi-cloud deployments today while planning a technology strategy that will constitute a significant part of their IT budgets in the very near future. As IoT solutions are growing rapidly, as well as security challenges growing exponentially, without a doubt, the cloud world is about to change for the better. Again.
While more companies are now leveraging the cloud to increase their level of data protection and management, there are still many wondering “why?” The answer: the cloud actually brings substantial advancements to the data protection and management table that simply aren’t possible without it. The easiest advantage to envision? Unlimited scalability. If a data protection tool is properly designed, the capacity should automatically expand to meet any customer’s needs. The second advantage: the cloud is the simplest way to centralize the storage of all secondary data sources while also providing unlimited compute that can be used to gain additional insight and business value from that data. Finally, the ability to do automated Disaster Recovery (DR) without maintaining a DR facility is unquestionably a major value of the cloud, and simply isn’t possible otherwise. Join W. At CloudEXPO Silicon Valley, June 24-26, 2019, Digital Transformation (DX) is a major focus with expanded DevOpsSUMMIT and FinTechEXPO programs within the DXWorldEXPO agenda. Successful transformation requires a laser focus on being data-driven and on using all the tools available that enable transformation if they plan to survive over the long term. A total of 88% of Fortune 500 companies from a generation ago are now out of business. Only 12% still survive. Similar percentages are found throughout enterprises of all sizes.
The platform combines the strengths of Singtel's extensive, intelligent network capabilities with Microsoft's cloud expertise to create a unique solution that sets new standards for IoT applications," said Mr Diomedes Kastanis, Head of IoT at Singtel. "Our solution provides speed, transparency and flexibility, paving the way for a more pervasive use of IoT to accelerate enterprises' digitalisation efforts. AI-powered intelligent connectivity over Microsoft Azure will be the fastest connected path for IoT innovators to scale globally, and the smartest path to cross-device synergy in an instrumented, connected world.
As you know, enterprise IT conversation over the past year have often centered upon the open-source Kubernetes container orchestration system. In fact, Kubernetes has emerged as the key technology -- and even primary platform -- of cloud migrations for a wide variety of organizations. Kubernetes is critical to forward-looking enterprises that continue to push their IT infrastructures toward maximum functionality, scalability, and flexibility. As they do so, IT professionals are also embracing the reality of Serverless architectures, which are critical to developing and operating real-time applications and services. Serverless is particularly important as enterprises of all sizes develop and deploy Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives.
