Gemalto liefert UpTeq NFC-SIM-Karte an MTS Russia für mobile Dienste im Personenverkehr

Gemalto (Euronext NL 0000400653 GTO), das weltweit führende Unternehmen auf dem Gebiet der digitalen Sicherheit, beliefert Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), den mit über 70 Millionen Teilnehmern größten Netzbetreiber Russlands, mit seinen High-End-SIM-Karten vom Typ UpTeq NFC, die im Rahmen einer auf Mobiltelefonen basierenden Ticketlösung für den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr in der Stadt Nowosibirsk eingesetzt werden sollen. Die im Moskauer Service-Zentrum von Gemalto hergestellte und personalisierte Lösung kann durch Effizienzsteigerung und größere Kundennähe zur schnelleren Umsetzung des NFC-Programms von MTS beitragen. Gemalto ist in der einzigartigen Lage, seinen russischen Kunden in den Branchen Telekommunikation, Banken und Transportwesen fundierte Fachkenntnisse und Präsenz vor Ort anzubieten.

Mithilfe des Ticketing-Services, der Hand in Hand mit Zolotaya Korona, einem russischen Zahlungs- und Geldüberweisungssystem, betrieben wird, können Benutzer Fahrten in den Bussen und der U-Bahn von Nowosibirsk durch „Tappen“ ihres Mobiltelefons an einem NFC-Lesegerät bezahlen. Um diese Art des Ticketkaufs so einfach wie möglich zu machen, erscheinen die Fahrtgebühren als Posten in der gewohnten MTS-Abrechnung der Abonnenten. Über 95 Prozent der Drehkreuze im öffentlichen Verkehrssystem von Nowosibirsk, der drittgrößten Stadt Russlands, sind bereits mit NFC-Lesegeräten ausgestattet, und das neue System soll die derzeit verwendeten Papierfahrkarten ablösen. Künftig wird die Benutzung der Transportmittel im gesamten Nahverkehrsnetz der Stadt durch kürzere Anstehzeiten angenehmer gestaltet.
