Chris Matthieu will walk through services from yesterday and illustrate the new WebRTC business model opportunities

What if you could re-invent the telephone company and/or OTT (over-the-top) services using WebRTC? Do you remember all of their service upgrades on top of basic phone services? Here are some of the services from telecoms of yesteryear and even Skype from a decade ago:

  1. In/Outbound minutes
  2. Phone numbers (DIDs)
  3. Vanity phone numbers
  4. Tollfree numbers
  5. Premium Rate 900 numbers
  6. Hunt group ringing
  7. Caller ID
  8. Voice messaging
  9. Three-way and conference calling
  10. Collaboration, i.e., web-ex, gotomeeting, livemeeting
  11. Basic routing menus (IVR - sales, tech support, billing)
  12. Yellow pages
  13. White pages and Unlisted numbers
  14. Directory assistance
  15. 3-Way Calling (party lines)
  16. Multiple lines (personal & business)
  17. Emergency breakthroughs
  18. Least cost routing
  19. Call forwarding
  20. Call waiting

In his session at WebRTC Summit, Chris Matthieu, founder of Twelephone, will walk you through each of these services from yesterday and illustrate new WebRTC business model opportunities associated with each one.
