Scale-Out SQL Database Allows Leading Internet of Things Player to Store and Analyze Massive Volume of Data in Real-Time

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/06/14 -- Clustrix, provider of the leading scale-out SQL database engineered for the cloud, today announced that Taggle Systems, the Australian provider of low-cost, long-range and low-power location and telemetry services, chose ClustrixDB to solve its scale and real-time analytics problems. Using ClustrixDB to record and analyze data for livestock, utility meters, and irrigation across large-scale installations in Australia, Taggle provides up to the minute information to its users.

Taggle's custom tags allow its users to periodically monitor and transmit data into a network of extremely sensitive custom receivers. Once collected, the data is analyzed internally before a final transmission is sent to the end user via the Internet or mobile phone. Ranchers use this data to identify patterns or anomalies among their livestock.

Built for large-scale and fast-growing applications, ClustrixDB allows Taggle to run massive transaction volume and fast real-time analytics, both at the same time. The company runs ClustrixDB software in the Rackspace cloud, simply adding servers to grow the database with no manual work and taking the pain out of scaling by automating most of the operations.
