Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc., and SNP GL Associates Partner to Advance Workplace Efficiencies and Savings with Canon’s Enterprise Imaging Platform

Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc. (CIIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., and SNP GL Associates today announced that SNP GL Associates is a Solutions Partner for Canon’s Enterprise Imaging Platform (EIP). SNP GL Associates is a services and solutions company that helps businesses, from startup to Fortune 50, plan and implement technologies that increase market share, improve performance and lower costs. Through the relationship with CIIS, SNP GL Associates is able to launch EIP to customers enabling users to automate a variety of their document and image-related business processes.

To help kick-off the solutions partnership and further assist clients from multiple industries, both Canon and SNP GL Associates will be hosting breakout sessions at COLLABORATE14: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community, from April 7-11, 2014 at The Venetian and The Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CIIS session titled "Get Paid. Faster. Reliably. Automating Order to Cash and Procure to Pay,” will discuss the automation of complex, document intensive processes leveraging Enterprise Imaging Platform - Canon's value-added middleware that SNP GL Associates is now providing to their clients. SNP GL Associates’ President, Dr. Steele Arbeeny, will host several sessions at COLLABORATE14 including “What's So Big About Big Data” focusing on the lifecycle of Big Data and “The New Databases - What You Need To Know NOW!” which will give insight on how to properly utilize Oracle® 12C and SQL® Server 2014 to unlock their benefits in terms of performance and reduced hardware footprint. With Dr. Arbeeny’s extensive background and the solutions partnership with CIIS, both SNP GL and CIIS clients can realize the power EIP technology has to offer.

EIP is a single middleware platform that allows users to automate a number of complex business processes and integrate them with a variety of enterprise applications and paper based information flows. Companies can benefit not only through significant cost savings and increased efficiencies, but can also gain business intelligence by bringing together vital information previously scattered across various back end systems and/or stored on paper or electronic documents.

“At SNP GL Associates we are always striving to provide significant value to our clients and the transformation from a paper-based to a digitized industry continues to be a struggle we want to streamline and make easier for them,” comments Dr. Arbeeny, president, SNP GL Associates. “Canon’s Enterprise Imaging Platform provides a rich set of services to automate business processes and streamline a variety of both electronic and paper-based document procedures into one system for easy access.”

“We see the relationship between SNP and Canon Information and Imaging Solutions as two best-of-breed organizations coming together to deliver superior value to their customers. SNP’s focus is squarely on organizational and technological transformation, and we see Canon’s EIP solutions transformative in that they allow our customers to employ high levels of automation to reduce risk and increase transparency in their key accounting processes,” said Dr. Andreas Schneider-Neureither, CEO of SNP.

“EIP is an innovative middleware that leverages Canon’s imaging experience and technologies to provide the business benefits of automation to our clients,” said Satoshi Nagata, president, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions. “Through the relationship with SNP GL Associates, CIIS is gaining a new Solutions Partner with an understanding of Oracle solutions and extensive consulting experience that can help to extend these benefits to clients across many industries and functional areas.”

EIP can streamline a variety of paper based business processes through robust image capture and processing capabilities, integration of the information across various documents and back end systems, as well as automated creation of documents that combine data from multiple enterprise applications.

Malicious agents are moving faster than the speed of business. Even more worrisome, most companies are relying on legacy approaches to security that are no longer capable of meeting current threats. In the modern cloud, threat diversity is rapidly expanding, necessitating more sophisticated security protocols than those used in the past or in desktop environments. Yet companies are falling for cloud security myths that were truths at one time but have evolved out of existence.

The phrase is certainly not a precise one, and as subject to hand-waving and distortion as any high-falutin' terminology in the world of information technology. Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...
