Vitesse erteilt Freescale Lizenz für Gigabit Ethernet IP-Kerne

Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: VTSS), ein führender Anbieter für fortschrittliche IC-Lösungen für die Bereiche Carrier, Enterprise und für das Internet of Things-Netzwerke (IoT – Internet der Dinge), hat bekannt gegeben, dass Freescale® Semiconductor den VSC9953-01 SparX™ Gigabit Ethernet Switch IP-Kern von Freescale in den 28 nm QorIQ® T1040 Vierkern- und T1020 Zweikernkommunikationsprozessoren verwendet, die nun als Vorversion an die Kunden gehen. Zu den Zielanwendungen gehören Gateway Router und industrielle Automatisierung sowie Unified Threat Management (UTM) und Network Attached Storage (NAS)-Netzwerke. Zusammengenommen bietet die Prozessorfamilie von Freescale und das ergänzende Portfolio von Ethernet Switches von Vitesse, PHYs und Software Carrier-Grade Ethernet-Funktionalität für verschiedene Kontrollapplikationen und Anwendungen auf Datenebene.
