There's Only One Rule to Success By @IanKhanLive | @CloudExpo #Cloud

Success has different meaning to different people

We all are striving for success. Whether it's in our personal or professional lives, that's what we do every day, day in and out. Finding ways to succeed, learning new things that make us succeed, and engaging in conversations that help us succeed. I have yet to meet someone who said I am doing things so that I can fail. I am sure you agree.

Success has different meaning to different people. For some, being able to generate more wealth is a sign of success, while for others helping to make a difference in someone else's life is success. For most of us, I believe it's a blend of so many things. What is the magic formula for success and what really is this one thing that can drive us to success in every way, in everything, every time!

Any wild guesses? No it's not hard work, or working smart, or even chanting it to yourself a hundred times a day. Okay, since you insist, here it is.

You may agree with me that the world is filled with people who have amazing ideas. Ideas that can transform the world, create change, remove hunger and poverty, change the way we do business and so many more things. Many of these ideas from the past have turned into reality through the work people did, and this is the physical world we see around us. New inventions, innovations, devices, ways to do things and so much more. Look at all the developments in medicine or for that matter something that is ubiquitous, the Internet. There are signs of success everywhere. But behind all these successes is a simple thing. An idea that served a need, an idea that helped someone think about what they wanted to do about a problem or how they wanted to make things better. But ideas, my friend, are a dime a dozen. There are countless individuals who have stellar ideas. Ideas that can change the world and ideas that could be the next best thing. Yet these ideas fail to see daylight. These ideas die before they can grow into something tangible and these ideas are lost, among countless others like them. Why?

Perhaps we should turn the problem upside down and see it from a different angle. Maybe the simplest answer is because we do nothing with our ideas. We do nothing to make our dreams real. We do nothing to make our goals happen. Yes, this could be our Eureka moment.

So herein lies the answer to the greatest mystery of our life. It is the smallest action that can turn something into reality. It's an action every day, no matter how small that makes success easy. It is actually putting the tire to the grid that is needed. You mean that's it? Yes, it's simple. Make it a habit to do something, no matter how small of an action, toward your dreams and goals every day. Make a pact with yourself to do something that will make your ideas turn into reality. No matter what happens, make sure you execute an action every day that is related directly to you achieving your goals and fulfilling your dreams. Need more validation? Just look at the world around you and you will see that it is these small actions that became big. That changed the world and that can change your life. Don't ignore it; it's perhaps the only one thing that can help you achieve everything.

He has helped a diverse set of businesses ranging from Technology Companies, Oil Companies, Power Generation & Renewables Operators, Microsoft Ecosystem Partners, SAP Customers and Partners, Healthcare Providers, Manufacturers, Facility Operators, Startups, Educational Institutions, Nonprofits & associations and more. Ian’s experiences with these organizations led him to a unique position of being able to identify the common challenges of growth for all these organizations. The bottom line as he found out, is that we all are hungry for success and want to grow and make a difference. Where we fall short is by failing to understand our environment and taking the right action within that environment. After 20 years serving the needs of the industry Ian’s natural pivot was to answer his calling and help organizations at a broader level understand what tomorrow brings. His work and study of all these organizations brought forward very unique perspectives that he now share through his work. Today, hands down, we live in the great time for humanity. Technology is a great thing, but it also has its victims. Many organizations of tomorrow will fail under the pressure of a fast changing world, much of which is fueled and driven by technology. Ian’s mission is to help organizations avoid that pitfall, and propel themselves into success in today’s era and go from digital disruption to digital transformation in the fastest and most sustainable way. This is the only way, according to him, we can together create limitless value, create solutions that are faced by us locally as well as by others around the globe, and make the world a happier place. Today Ian’s work spans working with people by delivering keynotes, consulting and by promoting his 7 –Axioms methodology through his book and workshops. He is also working on an ambitious project of releasing a documentary in spring of 2018 called Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 will capture the thoughts and insights of some of the world’s leading thinkers and help us understand the 4th Industrial Revolution, Its Impact, and how we can all be have an opportunity to be part of the emerging future and make the right choices. The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next-gen applications and how to address the challenges of building applications that harness all data types and sources.
