urSpin LLC Announces an Open Call for Developers and Users to Participate in the Development of Next Generation Spinlets

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., and SHENZHEN, China, June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- urSpin LLC (http://www.urspin.com/), a new entrant to the U.S. and China community- driven personal startpage market, today announced an open call for developers and users to participate in the development of next generation Spinlets. The open call comes just twenty four hours after the public beta release of its Spinlets Gallery.

urSpin is inviting both developers and users to put Spinlets to the ultimate test. From customization features to ease of use to look-and-feel, developers and users are invited to contribute their feedback in the Spinlets Soapbox Forum at http://forums.spinlets.com/. Based on the feedback, urSpin plans to develop its next generation of Spinlets to cater to both developers and users alike.

Spinlets allow you to take any Web content to your personal webpage, blog or social networking profile by simply cutting and pasting small chunks of code. Spinlets work with TypePad, WordPress and Blogger, as well as most other blogs, sidebars and websites.

"Direct user input has always been a core component of the Spinlets product development," said Kevin Cuxil, President of urSpin. "Our goal with the public beta is to invite widget developers and users to not only provide their Spinlet preferences and frustrations, but also to take the lead in determining major enhancements of our next generation Spinlets."

Virtualization combined with x86 servers has transformed the way we scale out compute resources. Unfortunately, legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage architectures are rooted in rigid mainframe-era designs, and are fundamentally mismatched with the dynamic, shared modern data center. 2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. On top, cloud server templates and script automation simplified application installation for simple and pre-defined application stacks, but have not targeted more complex enterprise application environments. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, John Yung, CEO of Appcara, will discuss how 2012 will be the year for app...
As more enterprises are adopting clouds, the nature of cloud computing is changing. Previously, clouds were used to test applications or for non-mission critical applications. Many organizations have embraced, or are considering, the benefits of cloud computing – speed, flexibility, increased expertise, shared workload, reduced costs, etc. The benefits are many – but so are the risks.
