Hostway to Provide Computing Infrastructure for Core dna Platform | @CloudExpo #API #Cloud

Offers customers choice of standard shared infrastructure or, for the first time, fully dedicated instances

Hostway has announced an agreement with Core dna to provide the computing infrastructure for Core dna's software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that is used to build marketing, e-commerce, intranets and community portal solutions.

In addition, Hostway makes available for the first time the option to deploy Core dna on a dedicated private cloud for enterprise customers requiring high levels of security for compliance with regulations. Available now, these are custom configurations that are priced individually.

"We've moved all Core dna customers in North America over so that they are now running on Hostway computing infrastructure," said Jay Newman, chief revenue officer and senior vice president of sales and marketing, Hostway. "While the standard multi-tenant SaaS version of Core dna will suffice for the majority of enterprises, we're able to deploy Core dna in a private cloud with dedicated infrastructure, security services and managed support as a special offering for those customers that have more demanding enterprise requirements."

"Hostway gives us rock-solid computing infrastructure that we can depend on so that our software-as-a-service is always available to our customers," said Sam Saltis, founder and CEO, Core dna. "We worked closely with Hostway engineers on our deployment to tune the infrastructure for high performance delivery of Core dna software. In addition, Hostway is doing something never done before by offering Core dna on a dedicated private cloud to attract another class of customers who are looking for a stronger connection between their internal systems and the platform."

Core dna software is an all-in-one web application platform that enables enterprises to better manage web content, as well as their overall e-commerce presence with unprecedented ease of use at a set monthly price. A full description of its features and capabilities is listed here. Core dna has been operating in Australia for over 15 years providing global support to clients that include Nintendo, Staples, Louis Vitton, and expanded into North America last year. Today, more than 500 businesses rely on Core dna to manage their digital assets and online operations.

The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next-gen applications and how to address the challenges of building applications that harness all data types and sources.
