Neo4j Launches Commercial Kubernetes Application | @KubeSUMMIT @neo4j #CloudNative #Serverless #Kubernetes

Neo4j's solution, the first native graph database on Google Cloud Platform Marketplace

Neo4j, a market leader in connected data, announced it is introducing a commercial Kubernetes application to all users of the Google Cloud Platform Marketplace (GCP Marketplace). The new offering will provide customers with the ability to easily deploy Neo4j's native graph database capabilities for Kubernetes directly into their Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)-hosted cluster. For the first time ever, commercial Kubernetes applications are available to deploy with one click to Google Kubernetes Engine with a usage-based pricing model. Commercial Kubernetes applications can be deployed on-premise or even on other public clouds through the GCP Marketplace.

GCP Marketplace is based on a multi-cloud and hybrid-first philosophy, focused on giving Google Cloud partners and enterprise customers flexibility without lock-in. It also helps customers innovate by easily adopting new technologies from ISV partners, such as commercial Kubernetes applications, and allows companies to oversee the full lifecycle of a solution, from discovery through management.

As a market leader in graph databases, Neo4j has supported containerization technology, including Docker, for years. With this announcement, Kubernetes customers can now easily pair Neo4j with existing applications already running on their Kubernetes cluster or install other Kubernetes marketplace applications alongside Neo4j.

Kubernetes customers are already building some of these same applications, and using Neo4j on Kubernetes. Users can combine the graph capabilities of Neo4j alongside an existing application, such as an application that is generating recommendations, by looking at the behavior of similar buyers, or a 360-degree customer view that uses a knowledge graph to help spot trends and opportunities.

Is advanced scheduling in Kubernetes achievable?Yes, however, how do you properly accommodate every real-life scenario that a Kubernetes user might encounter? For example, using spot instances and cost-effective resources on AWS, coupled with the ability to deliver a minimum set of functionalities that cover the majority of needs – without configuration complexity.
Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like "How is my application doing" but no idea how to get a proper answer.
