eBRIDGE ePortal Achieves Milestone With Over 25,000 Transactions

SaaS Solution Meets Success in Data Exchange and Delivery

BURLINGTON, Ontario, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- eBRIDGE Software announced that its ePortal Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform has reached the impressive milestone of over 25,000 current transactions as of December 1, 2007.

ePortal was launched in September 2007 and follows the principles of Web 2.0 design, enabling a wider range of the SMB market to access B2B productivity benefits that were traditionally only available to major global players. ePortal, powered by BizTalk Server 2006 R2, provides customers with an efficient, simple and user-friendly web-based solution that handles data routing, transformation, communication and translator services.

"eBRIDGE is proud of the success of ePortal and of what our customers have been able to achieve," stated Colin Brown, President and CEO of eBRIDGE Software. "Companies are relieved of a complex on-premise system yet still have the full benefits those systems provided; they can now view transactions in a web-friendly interface from any station that accesses the internet."

Designed in the architecture of the Web 2.0 revolution, ePortal functions as an SaaS solution that enables customers to not only work remotely, but to customize their transaction platform to accommodate individual business requirements. User-driven enhancements can be implemented to improve and streamline work flow and usability.

Operating in conjunction with ePortal is the Universal Integration Engine (UIE), which connects to back-office financial systems to integrate and exchange data, thereby eliminating manual data entry and costly errors to further automate and streamline the e-commerce process.

"With data exchange provided by ePortal and integration provided by the UIE, valuable solutions are available to fit within specific business processes," continued Mr. Brown. "eBRIDGE's commitment is to continue to be a leading provider in applying the smartest technology to support the latest financial and business systems to deliver effective data exchange and integration solutions."

"Having been in the IT field for many years, I believe the cloud computing chapter in the industry is an exciting one and I am proud to be a part of it," said National Reconaissance Office (NRO) Chief Information Officer Jill T. Singer Tuesday, as it was announced that she was one of 10 winners of the 2012 CloudNOW "Top Ten Women in Cloud" Awards.
2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. On top, cloud server templates and script automation simplified application installation for simple and pre-defined application stacks, but have not targeted more complex enterprise application environments. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, John Yung, CEO of Appcara, will discuss how 2012 will be the year for app...
As more enterprises are adopting clouds, the nature of cloud computing is changing. Previously, clouds were used to test applications or for non-mission critical applications. Today, enterprises are using clouds for cost-saving advantages and launching more mission critical applications that have defined performance needs. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, Eric Shepcaro, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Telx, will discuss how distributed computing has many advantages. It wou...
Building a cloud computing environment with on-demand access to compute, network, and storage resources requires an elastic infrastructure at multiple levels. Virtualization combined with x86 servers has transformed the way we scale out compute resources. Unfortunately, legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage architectures are rooted in rigid mainframe-era designs, and are fundamentally mismatched with the dynamic, shared modern data center. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, ...
