FeedPerfect(TM) Users Reporting a 700% ROAS

Solid Cactus SaaS product generating Big Returns for Clients

WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Solid Cactus(R), an award- winning web design company and total solutions e-commerce provider, announces that its original proprietary software as a service (SaaS) product FeedPerfect(TM) has generated over $4 million in sales for users since its launch in April 2007.

FeedPerfect is a comprehensive Comparison Shopping Engine (CSE) advertising solution for merchants who are looking to effectively feed data to the different CSEs and track their performance. FeedPerfect will validate the merchant's data and provide tools to quickly and easily categorize products across multiple channels. Once products start appearing in the CSEs, FeedPerfect's analytics provides powerful tools to make CSE advertising profitable.

Merchants using FeedPerfect generated over $4 million in sales while their total advertising cost in the CSEs was only $550,000 -- making the return on ad spend (ROAS) over 700%. "We wanted a solution to the cost and time e- commerce store owners spend monitoring their shopping engine advertising spend," said Solid Cactus co-founder Scott Sanfilippo. "In the end we just invented our own."

FeedPerfect's development was made possible in part by a $300,000 investment from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of PA. Ben Franklin Technology Partners is one of the longest running programs in the country dedicated to developing the technology-based economy within a state. "The investment allowed us to free up people to completely concentrate on FeedPerfect," said Sanfilippo. "It's ironic-the idea of new software innovations being literally built over the empty coal mines which fueled the old economy."

Building a cloud computing environment with on-demand access to compute, network, and storage resources requires an elastic infrastructure at multiple levels. Virtualization combined with x86 servers has transformed the way we scale out compute resources. Unfortunately, legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage architectures are rooted in rigid mainframe-era designs, and are fundamentally mismatched with the dynamic, shared modern data center. 2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. On top, cloud server templates and script automation simplified application installation for simple and pre-defined application stacks, but have not targeted more complex enterprise application environments. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, John Yung, CEO of Appcara, will discuss how 2012 will be the year for app...
As more enterprises are adopting clouds, the nature of cloud computing is changing. Previously, clouds were used to test applications or for non-mission critical applications. Many organizations have embraced, or are considering, the benefits of cloud computing – speed, flexibility, increased expertise, shared workload, reduced costs, etc. The benefits are many – but so are the risks. What are the threats to cloud security? Which parties assume responsibility for securing the environment? What about the data? Which type of cloud deployment offers superior security benefits? In her session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, Kristin Lovejoy, Vice President of Infor...
