Feb. 19, 2008 10:00 AM
SAVVIS announced a multi-million dollar agreement with
Vovici Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Feedback Management
(EFM).
Under terms of the three year agreement, Vovici will
relocate and consolidate their U.S. based IT infrastructure into a single
SAVVIS data center located near Washington, D.C. Vovici will then expand
globally by deploying their software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model, using
SAVVIS' managed IT infrastructure in data centers in the UK with future plans
for expansion to Singapore.
Vovici will deploy their web-based business services on
SAVVIS' managed IT infrastructure services platform, featuring SAVVIS' global
IP network, SAVVIS virtualized utility compute and storage services, and
managed security. SAVVIS' industry leading services will provide Vovici
customers with unmatched security, reliability and performance in comparison to
other survey solutions on the market.
"SAVVIS has allowed us to expand our business globally
while also consolidating our US
IT infrastructure and reducing our costs," said Rod Morris, Senior Vice
President, Account Management and Operations, Vovici. "Their virtualized
IT infrastructure perfectly complements our software-as-a-service delivery
model, and provides the flexibility and security required for a business, like
ours, that is experiencing rapid global growth."
SAVVIS' managed IT infrastructure enables Vovici to remove
the burden of global IT management while reducing both ownership and operating
costs. This allows Vovici's internal IT teams to concentrate on its core
business and applications rather than on the business of IT infrastructure management.
SAVVIS' managed solutions also offer robust storage and recovery abilities as
well as a highly scalable environment to accommodate Vovici's growth.
Fifty-eight percent of the U.S. Fortune 500 currently rely on the strategic
value of Vovici's consistent feedback strategy, and this agreement will deliver
a flexible IT infrastructure to support the company's continued global
expansion.
"SAVVIS IT Utility Services leverage all the
performance benefits of virtualization and serves as the perfect IT infrastructure
platform to underpin SaaS applications," said James Whitemore, Chief
Marketing Officer of SAVVIS. "We look forward to working with Vovici as a
trusted IT services partner as they grow their business globally."
