Microsoft's Sky Is Filled with Clouds

Plans to 'reinvent the infrastructure' of the industry

Microsoft plans to build about 20 "super-size" cloud data centers, each with a price tag of around a billion dollars apiece, according to BusinessWeek.

The magazine got it from an unnamed source. All Microsoft's VP of global foundation services Debra Chrapaty would tell was "We're going to reinvent the infrastructure of our industry."

The latest data center Microsoft is building reportedly has room for 224 containers or 560,000 servers.
