Dataline Expert Weighs in on White House Cloud Computing

Dataline's expert on Cloud Computing Security lent his knowledge to the highly discussed topic of Cloud Computing in the White House for NPR's top rated show 'All Things Considered'

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Dataline's expert on Cloud Computing Security, Kevin Jackson, lent his insight into the safety of cloud computing and it's possible implementation into the White House. Jackson was interviewed for his expertise and knowledge on Cloud Computing Security by Andrea Seabrook of National Public Radio (NPR) for their top rated show, "All things Considered."

The show, titled "Will Cloud Computing Work in the White House?" aired on Sunday, December 21, 2008, and focused on how cloud computing technology can be used to improve government services. This has been a wildly discussed topic as the new administration moves into the White House and Dataline is thrilled to be on hand for the discussion. During the interview, Mr. Jackson outlined how cryptographic data splitting could be used to improve the security of information stored "in the cloud."

Dataline is bringing together the greatest minds in the industry to tackle the topic of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud computing, and the Net-Centric end-state. Pulling together leaders in the industry will offer new and innovative solutions to old problems and legacy systems; and, serve to enable real-time information flow to the warfighter as the end-state of net-centricity rather than a focus on infrastructure. Understanding where industry is in the terms of technology development, becoming educated regarding their net-centric business plans, and applying best practices in government implementation would truly enhance our force's ability to organize and access the information it needs.

Dataline was recently named by SYS-CON's Cloud Computing Journal as one of the top 100 most active cloud computing companies, specializes in designing, developing and deploying cloud computing solutions for its Federal government customers.

Java EE 7 continues the ease of development push that characterized prior ...

Wide and cheap availability of cloud-based media services is upon us. With the transformations these services are already bringing to the consumption of music, video and interactive media, change has likewise come to professional workflows. 2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. On top, cloud server templates and script automation simplified application installation for simple and pre-defined application stacks, but have not targeted more complex enterprise application environments. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, John Yung, CEO of Appcara, will discuss how 2012 will be the year for app...
