Micro Focus launched Enterprise View 5.7, the latest addition to its Application Portfolio Management (APM) solution to empower CIOs with the knowledge required to make informed and accurate IT strategy decisions in whatever market condition.
Enterprise View 5.7 helps enterprise customers to make decisions about the management of their IT assets by consolidating business and technical intelligence across the organization's entire portfolio of applications. Enterprise View 5.7 enables CIOs to analyze their entire portfolio to identify where value lies in their existing systems, helping them decide how best to develop their IT to further the business.
The most significant enhancements have been made to the Application Value Manager and Enterprise View Portal capabilities. These provide streamlined management of stakeholder (business) details, and adaptable business/technical reporting respectively.
Significant enhancements in Enterprise View 5.7 include:
- Updates to the Portal facility to include new reports and further user tailoring
- Parallel impact analysis jobs supported with up to 50% performance improvements
- Rapid creation, import and management of all stakeholder survey information within product repository and reporting facilities
- COBOL/IDMS application support implemented
- PL/I statement-level support and Data Flow Analysis
- Java language support update, and
- Additional certification for RHEL 5, Sparc Solaris 10, OpenSUSE 10.3 and CentOS5, including Oracle 11g and Windows Vista support.
