3Leaf Addresses Cloud Computing and On Demand IT at Cloud Computing Expo

‘Cloud computing environments help enterprises better leverage their resources for business critical applications’

3Leaf Systems, a provider of next-generation server solutions to enable cloud computing, has announced that Bob Quinn, chairman, founder and chief technology officer, has been selected to present on the topic of "Cloud Computing and On Demand IT" at Cloud Computing Conference & Expo on Monday, March 30, 2009. Quinn will address challenges in cost-effectively scaling IT resources to meet dynamic application requirements and enabling on demand IT in cloud computing environments.

Cloud computing strategies are top of mind for enterprises today amid the current economic climate. All aim to do more with less, maximizing their existing infrastructures while struggling to keep pace with evolving, dynamic application demands. Enterprises using cloud computing as an IT infrastructure strategy need true on-demand agility and scalability, where the size of the server provided by the cloud can be easily changed on-the-fly, and should have no limits. 3Leaf Systems recognizes this need and is committed to providing a leaner, more agile data center for all corporate environments.

"Cloud computing environments help enterprises better leverage their resources for business critical applications," said Bob Quinn, chairman, founder and chief technology officer at 3Leaf Systems. "Cloud computing services that can instantly respond to changes in demand, including spikes, rely on an agile server infrastructure to instantaneously assign just enough resources to service the load."

The attendees of these sessions will gain critical knowledge allowing them to enable on demand IT for the cloud and the tools and protocols needed for a dynamic corporate data center.

2011 was a year of rapid adoption for public and private cloud services. Instant and on-demand server provisioning was the driving force behind the massive growth. Building a cloud computing environment with on-demand access to compute, network, and storage resources requires an elastic infrastructure at multiple levels. Virtualization combined with x86 servers has transformed the way we scale out compute resources. Unfortunately, legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage architectures are rooted in rigid mainframe-era designs, and are fundamentally mismatched with the dynamic, shared modern data center. In his session at the 10th International Cloud Expo, ...
