Delivering the power of the Internet at the click of a mouse necessitates the need for comprehensive overview and tracking capabilities. So it is very timely that Keynote Systems, the global leader in on-demand mobile and Internet test & measurement solutions for continuously improving the online experience, this week announced Keynote LoadPro 2.0.
“We already offer the Internet’s largest and most accurate Web site load testing and measurement infrastructure," says Keynote's Vik Chaudhary (pictured), vice president of product management and corporate development. "Now, we’ve greatly improved the LoadPro portal interface to exert the full power of our load generating infrastructure and test the limits of any Web site,” he continues.
When conducting load tests, Chaudhary explains, the importance of precisely monitoring the ongoing test is paramount.
"Keynote LoadPro 2.0 provides this capability in a single pane including a comprehensive overview of the ongoing status of the live test as it occurs," he adds. "Real time graph modification and drill down metrics are also now just a click away, allowing system administrators and technical staff from various departments the ability to access the portal to correlate LoadPro load metrics to their own system’s data."
Conducting very large scale Web site load tests requires the involvement of a great number of staff across multiple departments within an enterprise. The new enterprise workgroup administration functionality included with LoadPro 2.0, says Chaudhary, now delivers a high degree of sophisticated management capabilities including the ability to assign appropriate levels of authorization.
"The new enterprise workgroup administration features increases the number of people across departments that can now easily and comfortably work together on setting up and running Web site load tests," he notes.
Additionally, explains Chaudhary, Web site load test budget allowances can now be assigned and tracked departmentally, while allowing visibility of test results across multiple departments within a single company.
With the new release, he says, users now have a management console dashboard with high level summary script, load test scheduling and configuration information. Furthermore, users can now schedule and run their own Web site load tests and are provided with increased visibility and insight during the actual real time running of the load test while it’s being executed.
“This release of LoadPro improves upon what is already the industry leading solution,” said Vik Chaudhary.
More Information
Keynote LoadPro is a hosted Internet-based service. As companies move away from enterprise-based client-server applications to Internet-based applications, traditional onsite load testing solutions are losing favor to hosted Internet-based services. In contrast to other solutions, Keynote owns their load testing server network to guarantee the delivery of pre-configured precisely timed load levels and accurate performance measurement from the end user perspective. With this release, LoadPro increases the distance between it and any other competitive solutions on the market today.
