TOA Technologies Honored With NEOSA's 2009 Best of Tech Award

CEO Yuval Brisker Recognized in Best of Tech Leader Category

CLEVELAND, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 05/29/09 -- TOA Technologies, a leader in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for managing the mobile workforce, today announced that the Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA) has awarded Yuval Brisker, CEO of TOA Technologies, with the Best of Tech Award. Brisker was recognized as Best of Tech Leader at a presentation dinner held Tuesday, May 19 at Corporate College East.

Awards were presented in seven categories including Best Tech Leader, Best Software product, Best IT Services Company, Best Emerging Company and others. Fourteen CEOs were nominated for Best of Tech Leader. NEOSA received approximately 70 nominations across all categories.

"The NEOSA Best of Tech Awards were created to showcase talent, innovation and leadership from the wealth of tech companies here in the greater Cleveland area," said Brad Nellis, Director of NEOSA. "We're proud that this year's awards recognized truly outstanding products, exciting companies and inspiring leaders like Mr. Brisker."

Yuval Brisker founded TOA in 2003 after he waited for a cable technician to show up for a service call. He realized that customers all over the world are stuck in this same dilemma -- not knowing when -- or if -- a service person will show up and wasting hours and days and frustrated at the lack of information. He founded TOA Technologies to predict when an appointment will actually happen and then inform the customer, keeping them in the loop every step of the way, via a text message, an automated voice call, an email, or just letting the customer go online and track their service or delivery the way they would track a Fedex package.

NEOSA created the Best of Tech awards to honor outstanding companies and entrepreneurs in the Northeast Ohio region. NEOSA is a membership-based organization that promotes the advancement of the technology community and the information technology industry of Northeast Ohio. It is an industry-led, industry-driven organization made up of more than 880 member companies from all facets of information technology.

As automation and artificial intelligence (AI) power solution development and delivery, many businesses need to build backend cloud capabilities. Well-poised organizations, marketing smart devices with AI and BlockChain capabilities prepare to refine compliance and regulatory capabilities in 2018. Volumes of health, financial, technical and privacy data, along with tightening compliance requirements by FTC, CUI/DFARS, EU-GDPR and the underlying National Cybersecurity Framework suggest the need for a ground-up re-thinking of security strategies and compliance actions. This session offers actionable advice based on case studies to demonstrate the impact of security and privacy attributes for the cloud-backed IoT and AI ecosystem.

To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How? Overwhelmingly, even as enterprises have adopted cloud computing and are expanding to multi-cloud computing, IT leaders remain concerned about how to monitor, manage and control costs across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. It’s clear that traditional IT monitoring and management approaches, designed after all for on-premises data centers, are falling short in this new hybrid and dynamic environment.
"Calligo is a cloud service provider with data privacy at the heart of what we do. We are a typical Infrastructure as a Service cloud provider but it's been designed around data privacy," explained Julian Box, CEO and co-founder of Calligo, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 21st Cloud Expo, held Oct 31 – Nov 2, 2017, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year. But bad data is much more than a cost center. By eroding trust in information, analytics and the business decisions based on these, it is a serious impediment to digital transformation.
